👮‍♂️ PNP Struggling to Capture “God’s Son”

By Titus Bautista

Tita Valderama, Vera Files

Maybe fugitive preacher Apollo Quiboloy really is the son of God… he has done something not even Jesus Christ could do: avoid capture from local authorities. When asked by reporters as to why they still haven’t arrested Quiboloy, Police Director General Rommel Francisco Marbil answered “We are working on it.” However, he did say that the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) was the one in charge of the manhunt operation, and that the Philippine National Police (PNP) was helping their fellow security agency. No we were not imagining Pilate washing his hands; you were

The founder of the locally founded church Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) has been issued arrest warrants on charges of child abuse, sexual assault, trafficking, exploitation, and discrimination. Senator Rosa Hontiveros was also wondering why the police have yet to capture the self-proclaimed son of God. “We are closing in. Hindi naman po talagang mahirap hanapin but meron kaming strategy kung papano talaga. We are diplomatic about it,” Marbil said in an ambush interview yesterday.

The police might have to start consulting Judas and Caiphas to figure out how to arrest a man like Quiboloy. Or maybe Quiboloy continues to evade arrest because he has an MBA - to borrow ex-Senator Franklin Drilon’s term, May Backer Ako. Of course, all of this is just speculation. Maybe if you manifest it enough, you too could be the son of God and get away from jail.

👇 Stoop Step Down

Do you ever feel like a plastic bag,

Drifting through the wind, wanting to start again?

That is exactly what Israeli Military Intelligence Chief Aharon Haliva feels as he becomes the first senior Israeli Officer to step down and resign from his position. After the October 7 attack by Hamas’ Qassam Brigades and other Palestinian Armed groups, Haliva has not forgiven himself because he and his team did not “live up to the task we were entrusted with.” This war has taken its toll on both sides. Hamas and its armed groups have killed more than 1,130 people and has taken around 240 captive, while Israel’s response has SO FAR killed more than 34,000 people and displaced most of Gaza’s 2.2 million residents. The 57 year old said he would leave his post once a replacement was found. Known for its Intel prowess, many still wonder how Israel’s military force were unable to prevent such an attack by Hamas. It’s no wonder that Haliva has called for an investigative committee to be formed to go on an in-depth analysis of what really happened.

The timing of Haliva’s decision makes it even more interesting, as tensions with Iran are rising. Some believe he is sending a message to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to take responsibility for what has happened, what is happening, and probably what is about to happen if this war does not stop. Even if Netanyahu refuses to be held accountable, other high-ranking officials from the security and military establishment might follow suit. And if they do, the world might discover more answers to the October 7 mystery. Maybe Haliva is still following Katy Perry and letting his decision igniiiite the liiiigtht. Who knows? His resignation just might own the night and light up the world like the Fourth of July (please not literally because we’ve had enough air strikes)?

🍔 Robo-Feast: Burger Party with Flippy

by Tobias Bautista

Mike Peterson, iDrop News

Remember The Jetsons? That 90s cartoon where robots handled everything, even the dishes? Well, the future is now, folks! A California startup just served up the world’s first AI restaurant.

CBS News spilled the silicon beans on January 6, 2024. This futuristic diner comes from Miso Robotics, the geniuses behind Flippy and PopID.

Step into CaliExpress, and it's a whole new world. You order via self-ordering kiosks with your PopID, and then? Brace yourself. Flippy the grill bot takes over. "Imagine a burger so good it practically melts in your mouth," they say, as Flippy crafts a patty from scratch.

But wait, there's more! Flippy also fries up the crispiest, tastiest fries, all to perfection. And CaliExpress keeps it simple with a menu of burgers, fries, and drinks.

John Miller, the brains behind PopID, calls it the “world’s first operating restaurant where both ordering and every single cooking process are fully automated.” Talk about a tech marvel!

Cali Group, the masterminds behind CaliExpress, boasts it keeps kitchen crews safe, reduces waste, and dishes out above-average wages. Plus, they're eyeing global domination soon.

So, buckle up, foodies! The future of dining is here, and it's looking pretty tasty.

⌛️ Game-winners and grit give Nuggets, Knicks, and Cavs 2-0 leads

In a three-game thriller as the first round of the 2024 NBA Playoffs continue, the Denver Nuggets (No. 2), New York Knicks (No. 2), and Cleveland Cavaliers (No. 4) all take commanding 2-0 leads in their respective first round serieses.

The Nuggets stole the show yesterday morning Philippine time after their 20-point comeback against the seventh-seeded Los Angeles Lakers, 101-99, was capped off by an incredible buzzer-beating game-winner by Jamal Murray (20 points, five dimes). Reigning Finals MVP Nikola Jokic also had a monster triple-double of 27 markers, 20 rebounds, and 10 assists.

Lebron James (26, 8, 12) still gave an all-around effort for the Lakers which was coupled by Anthony Davis’ 32 and 11 and D’Angelo Russell’s 23 points with seven threes. The series now moves to Los Angeles for Games 3 and 4.

Clutch shots were also the story when the Knicks won against the Philadelphia 76ers (7th) after back-to-back three-balls from Jalen Brunson and Donte Divincenzo (19) put them up, 104-101. Brunson, subsequently, led his team with 24, 8, and 6 athletic guard Josh Hart was heroic once again with 21 and 15 of his own.

Distraught about the deficit they are facing, the duo of Joel Embiid (34 points, 10 boards) and Tyrese Maxey (35 points, 10 assists) were still very much in the groove as they aim to get into the win column when the series shifts to their homecourt for Games 3 and 4.

For Game 2 of the Cavs and the No. 5 Orlando Magic, it was a grit-and-grind affair as Cleveland pulled through in the end as they won with a 10-point edge, 96-86. Perennial All-Star Donovan Mitchell paced his squad with 23 points and eight caroms as the twin tower duo of Jarret Allen (16) and Evan Mobley (17) held the fort down—as the former even had an outstanding 20 boards.

Despite the loss, Paolo Banchero still had his numbers with 21 points for the Magic.

Another trio of Game 2’s headline NBA action later today.
